14 July 2022 , Johannesburg: Foundation for Human Rights (FHR) has learnt with deep shock and disbelief of the tragic passing of Julius Manciya, Eastern Cape Provincial Council Acting Chairperson of CAOSA.
FHR joins the South African social justice sector in celebrating Julius’s life, a passionate human rights activist whose unwavering support to the cause of the poor and disadvantaged communities left us with big shoes to fill.
The country post-delivery of the final volume of State Capture Inquiry report desperately needs individuals to pick up the baton and carry forward the struggle to safeguard and defend liberation gains threatened by rampant corruption, poverty, rising unemployment and violent crime.
Words in times like these are never adequate to describe our feelings and our hearts go out to the family, friends, and colleagues.
The challenge is upon us all to be inspired by his contributions and work towards the final victory of ensuring access to justice for all.
