Protection of Personal Information Act (“POPIA”)

At the Foundation for Human Rights, we respect your privacy and are committed to keeping your personal information secure and confidential. 

In compliance with our obligations under the Protection of Personal Information Act (“POPIA”) and Promotion of Access to Information Act (“PAIA”) which came into effect on the 1st July, we are currently notifying everyone on our database that we hold private and publicly available information, which is used to notify you about our ongoing activities, events and relevant information regarding our organisation. This information is disseminated via email communication which you would have been receiving from our organisation to date.
 
With the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) in effect now, we would like to confirm that you still wish to receive communications from us. If you would prefer that we do not contact you in future, you have the option to unsubscribe. If you take no action to unsubscribe, we will assume that you are happy to remain on our mailing list, but please note that you can update your preferences at any time.
